Enter your serial number and customer ID as listed above. You
will then see your customer information, including:

*  Your complete address. You can change it.
*  Your email address. You can submit an additional one.
   (We automatically remove "dead" ones, please email us to
    remove an existing address.)
*  A list of all VEDIT licenses, including the most recent
   version number and complete serial-registration number.

For each license which is not up-to-date with SSP, you can order

New Serial-Registration Numbers
-------------------------------

All VEDIT 6.1 and active SSP customers were assigned new serial
numbers. (The first 5-digit serial number is the same, but the
10-digit registration number is different.) You must use the new
serial number to install VEDIT 6.11 or VEDIT Pro64 (if eligible).

Beginning with VEDIT 6.11, the {HELP, About} box displays, e.g.:

                      VEDIT Deluxe (32-bit)
                      Ver 6.11.1 09/22/2003
                            SN: 82725
                Support expires at end of 06-2005
            Eligible for updates thru 7.1 or 06-2005

The new last line indicates the last version you are eligible
for. In the example above, if 7.1 is released after 06-2005 you
would still be able to install 7.1 with the same serial number.

We have extended the support period for many of our customers:

*  VEDIT 6.1 purchased after 6/01/03 is eligible for 6.2.

*  All SSP purchased since VEDIT 6.0 are good through at least
   Dec. 2004.

The "Support expires" indicates when your technical support
expires; after that date we give only limited support.

The "Eligible for updates" indicates which updates you can
download and install with the current serial-registration number.
In general, you will be eligible for updates even after your
support period expires.

You can check on your support period and retrieve your full
serial-registration number from the "Login" link on our website.
Note that the first 5 digits of your serial number do not change
and can be found by selecting {HELP, About}.


New VEDIT Pro64
---------------

We have long claimed that "VEDIT can edit absolutely any file";
but the fine-print mentioned "up to 2 Gigabytes". However, the
new VEDIT Pro64 can, without exception, edit absolutely any file,
even those of 100+ Gigabytes.

Over 12 months in development, a beta-test of VEDIT Pro64 is now
available. Since there are no known problems (so far), we expect
to release it later this month.

VEDIT Pro64 is only internally a 64-bit program; it still runs
under standard Windows. However, only Windows NT/2000/XP with the
NTFS filesystem support files over 4 Gigabytes.

*  Edit huge files of 100+ Gigabytes
*  Runs on standard Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP
*  Runs on any Pentium I or equivalent machine

Only VEDIT customers with an active Software Subscription Plan
(SSP) are eligible for VEDIT Pro64.

*  Installing VEDIT Pro64 installs both the regular VEDIT and
   VEDIT Pro64 with separate icons.
*  A fully 64-bit AMD Opteron version is planned for 2004.

VEDIT Pro64 will be priced at $239 and its Software Subscription
Plan will be $100 for 18 months of support and updates.

However, by taking advantage of our special offer, you can
receive VEDIT Pro64 (and regular VEDIT) at no additional charge.

If you are on the regular VEDIT Software Subscription Plan (SSP)
by Nov. 30, 2003, you will receive VEDIT Pro64 at no additional
charge. AND, for as long as you remain on the regular SSP,

$50 per SSP renewal.)

Note: The previous "VEDIT PLUS" is now named just "VEDIT".

VEDIT 6.11.1 dated 10/22/2003 is now available for download. It
is primarily a maintenance release. All VEDIT 6.10 customers are
eligible for 6.11. (Use your new serial-registration number.)

Upcoming VEDIT 6.2 and Planned Enhancements
-------------------------------------------

VEDIT 6.2 is almost complete and will be available as a beta-test
in a few weeks. It has two significant enhancements:

*  Built-in "ftp" support so that you can directly edit any file
   on the Internet that you have read/write access to.

   We have effectively added an entire ftp client to VEDIT with
   both a graphical and macro command interface.

*  Send email support - ability to send email messages from
   within VEDIT.

Other planned enhancements for VEDIT include:

*  Improved "smart" indenting for C and other languages.

*  "Splitter" windows for a Windows-standard way of splitting a
   window into two views. (MS Word (tm) has a horizontal splitter
   window.)

*  Progress bar to show VEDIT's progress when manipulating huge
   files. (Already implemented, but not ready for release.)

*  A print preview that shows the page boundaries.

*  Color printing that corresponds to the color syntax
   highlighting.

*  Support for more colors within VEDIT.

*  Enhanced macro language with symbolic names for numeric and
   string variables. (Don't worry, we are not radically changing
   the macro language; current macros will still work.)

*  Auto-compiling of macros for faster execution.

*  Improved file comparison with better re-synchronization.

*  Custom menu system - you will be able to configure the entire
   menu system. Delete any unused functions and add as many new
   functions and sub-menus as desired.

*  Full integration with our Website for automatic updates,
   access to FAQ, macro libraries, additional on-line help and
   more.


Software Subscription Plan (SSP)
--------------------------------

The least expensive way to benefit from our continuous VEDIT
development is by purchasing the Software Subscription Plan (SSP).
The SSP benefits currently include:

*  All updates (via downloading) through future version 7.1 or
   a minimum of 18 months, whichever is longer.

   It therefore includes VEDIT versions 6.1, 6.2, 7.0 and 7.1.

*  Unlimited (within reason) technical support for 18 months.

*  Access to beta-test versions. This is the best way to
   influence the final product.

If you currently have VEDIT 6.0 or VEDIT 6.1, you can purchase
(or renew) the SSP for only $59. If you have an older VEDIT, the
price of an update with SSP is $99.

A CD-ROM is available for an additional $4 (no shipping charge).
Printed manuals (750+ pages) with CD-ROM are available for an

User Conference
---------------

We have had a user discussion conference on our website for
several years. It covers all aspects of VEDIT, such as
suggestions for future versions, questions about macro
programming and tips on using features and supplied macros.

It uses the commercial "WebBoard" software and is easy to use.
Optionally, you can subscribe to 20 different sub-conferences and
keep up entirely via email.

In order to encourage more customers to use the conference and
make things easier to find, users Christian Ziemski and Fritz
Heberlein have recently "cleaned up" the conference by deleting
obsolete items and checking that information was up-to-date.

This is a great way to learn to use VEDIT more effectively and
get your questions answered outside of our normal support hours.

Integrate VEDIT with MS Visual Studio
-------------------------------------

VEDIT can be integrated with Microsoft's Visual Studio (tm); you
can then press a hot-key inside Studio to open the current file
in VEDIT at the same cursor position. When you close the file in
VEDIT, the modified file is automatically reloaded into Studio.

SpamStopsHere.com - Anti-spam & Anti-virus service
--------------------------------------------------

As you may know, we started an Anti-spam service one year ago:

     www.SpamStopsHere.com

It has been very successful and will soon be Greenview's primary
business.

Our service not only reduces spam, it virtually eliminates it by
blocking 98-99% of spam. Since the spam identification is
completely database driven and does not use error-prone
"heuristics" and does not filter based on keywords, the
false-positive rate is much less than 0.1%. (In other words, it
correctly identifies 99.9% - 99.99% of legitimate email.)
Frankly, we believe this is 10 to 100 times better than any other
anti-spam service or software.

Our service primarily works by recognizing the URLs (the "Click
here" links) in spam messages. This database is updated every 10
minutes 24/7. Our tools analyze nearly a million spam messages a
day and automatically block known spammers; our staff reviews
over 10,000 spam a day (around the clock) to ensure that our
databases are complete and accurate, and that legitimate
companies are not blocked.

The anti-spam service only works with entire domains, i.e. it
does not work with individual email addresses. It is ideal for
companies with up to 3000 employees. It is ultra-reliable with
redundant servers and auto-rollover. We have had 100.00% uptime
since we started.

This service currently uses 4 primary and 3 backup servers at
large data centers. Each server can filter up to 500,000 emails a
day, i.e. each server can handle about 10,000 typical mailboxes.

10 mailboxes. We also offer family domains for only $99/year.

From the President
------------------

The new VEDIT Pro64 will primarily interest customers that edit
huge files larger than 2 Gigabytes. To create Pro64, we first
had to design an extensive set of assembly-language macros that
allow us to compile VEDIT as either a 32-bit or 64-bit program.

While the primary current difference between VEDIT and VEDIT
Pro64 is the ability to edit files over 2 Gigabytes, some future
advanced EBCDIC and data file editing, and sorting features will
only be available in the Pro64 version.

When I asked Tom Burt to implement ftp support in VEDIT, we
figured it was a 4 - 6 week project. However, it turned out to be
much more complex than anticipated, requiring essentially an
entire ftp client within VEDIT. We hope to have VEDIT 6.2 with
ftp support available as a beta-test next month. You will be able
to edit files on multiple ftp sites at the same time, save local
files to ftp and vice versa, and much more.

We recently completed the third generation of our anti-spam
service. This was a from-the-ground-up rewrite to handle larger
customers and ISPs. Besides my brother Phil, three new employees
are now primarily involved in this part of our business.

We are convinced that we have solved the spam problem, and our
customers would agree. We are just finding it difficult to
convince magazine reviewers that a small company has solved a
problem that the rest of the industry is having difficulty with.
